No account. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking. No data collection of any kind. On Tour is free, and it is not funded by your data.

What the app stores

Everything you enter — your fee, per diem settings, logged spending, tour dates, venues, call times, contacts, pack lists and checklists — is written to storage on your own device and nowhere else.

That storage is shared with the app's home screen and lock screen widgets, so they can display your countdown and clocks. Nothing outside the app can read it.
None of it is transmitted anywhere. It is not uploaded, backed up to any server run by us, or shared with anyone — including the developer, who cannot see it.
If your device is backed up to iCloud or to a computer, the app's data is included in that backup, under Apple's terms rather than ours.
Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also erase everything from within the app at More → Delete all data.

The one thing the app downloads

Tax rates and thresholds change every year. So that the app's estimates do not go stale between updates, On Tour can download a single small file of published tax figures from showpilotapp.co.uk, at most once a day while the app is open.

It is a one-way download. The request carries no identifiers, no cookies, no query parameters and no content — the app sends no information about you whatsoever.
The file contains nothing but public tax rates and thresholds. It is not personalised and is identical for everyone.
As with any request to any website, our web server receives your device's IP address and records it in standard access logs, which the hosting provider keeps for a limited period for security and diagnostics. We do not use those logs to identify you, link them to anything you have entered, or build any profile.
You can turn this off at More → Tax rates. With it off, the app makes no network requests at all and uses the figures built into the installed version.

What we never do

We do not collect, receive or store any personal data.
We do not use analytics, crash reporting, attribution or advertising software of any kind. The app contains no third-party SDKs.
We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share data with anyone, because we do not have any.
We do not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, calendar, health data or notifications.

Things you choose to share

Some features hand information to other apps at your request. This only ever happens when you tap something:

Exporting your spending creates a CSV file, and you choose where it goes.
Tapping a phone number or email address in your saved contacts opens your own Phone or Mail app.
Tapping the support address opens your email app with a blank message.

Once information leaves the app this way, it is governed by whichever app or service you sent it to.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or delete — your information is on your device, entirely under your control, and you can erase it at any time from within the app. If you believe otherwise, write to tm.01@icloud.com and we will look into it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. If a future version of the app ever collects anything, that change will be described here and in the app before it takes effect.

On Tour produces rough estimates to help you plan. Its financial figures are not financial, tax or legal advice, and its technical calculators are planning aids that do not replace manufacturer data, applicable regulations, or a competent person. Please check anything important with someone qualified.
